How to play Spark Mates
Spark Mates is a free 3D bridge-building puzzle. Link floating islands, turn and anchor them, and guide your Spark home.
Goal
Build a connected route of bridges so your Spark can travel home. Each mission gives up to three stars: one for finishing, one for a quick time and one for using few actions.
Controls
- Keyboard: WASD or the arrow keys move and Space jumps. 1, 2 and 3 pick the Link, Turn and Anchor tools, E uses the selected tool, Q cycles through nearby islands and Escape pauses.
- Touch: An on-screen joystick, a JUMP button and tool buttons. Tap an island to target it.
Game modes
- Campaign: Twenty Broken Garden missions with up to three stars each.
- Daily challenge: A new puzzle every day at midnight IST, with three tries.
- With friends: Private rooms for two to six players.
- Practice with bots: You and five bots in Coral and Teal teams over three legs.
Tips
- Link bridges fade after 24 seconds, so cross them quickly.
- Turn gives a one-second warning before an island rotates. Home and centre islands cannot be turned.
- Anchor locks the island you are standing on for seven seconds.
- If you fall, you reform after two seconds.
- A hint button appears after 35 seconds or two falls.
- Glow coins only change your robot's look. Every robot plays the same.

Campaign progress is saved in this browser on this device. Spark Mates plays with a keyboard or touch, and a Graphics setting offers Balanced or Performance.
